Patrick Mahon is a retired detective of the Baltimore Police Department.

Biography

Background

Mahon served in the Property Crimes Unit and had not solved a single case since 1992.

Season 1

In 2002, Mahon and his partner Augustus Polk were transferred to the Barksdale detail. ("The Detail")

He was assaulted by Preston "Bodie" Broadus, a young narcotics dealer, during a raid of the low-rise McCulloh Homes public housing project. Mahon received early retirement with pension following his injury, and was last seen encouraging Polk to do the same.
